Neighborhood Spotlight: Inverness

Located in North Central San Antonio, just off Loop 1604, Inverness is making a name for itself within San Antonio's luxury real estate market. A newer neighborhood within the San Antonio luxury scene, Inverness exudes prestige and upscale living. Set amongst a backdrop of a serene, natural setting, Inverness has quickly become a favorite by many San Antonians, earning the distinction of being known as one of San Antonio’s most prestigious neighborhoods.

Among the 140 acres that make up Inverness are approximately 200 lots dotted among landscaped parks, greenbelts, boulevards, and nature trails. Homes that have been built in Inverness are known for their architectural distinction, designed in careful alignment with the neighborhoods strict deed restrictions and architectural guidelines. Considered “estates”, these 3,000 sq. ft. plus homes sit atop heavily wooded lots with multiple points of access and a standard rear entry garage.

With a price tag of $160,000 for a lot, and over a million dollars for a home, it’s no wonder that entry points to the neighborhood are equipped with gates. Additionally, each of the two entrances are secured by cameras and a guard.

An outstanding location, Inverness is located minutes away from grocers, upscale shopping centers, and recreational hot spots. A shoppers dream, both La Cantera and Alon are within a few miles, as is The Rim. Additionally, Phil Hardberger Park, unique in its diversity of amenities, is within five miles of the neighborhood and offers gardens, walking trails, picnic facilities, sports courts, children’s playgrounds, and dog parks.

Inverness is also an excellent location for commuters as it is close to major employers USAA, Harland Clarke, and Valero, as well as The South Texas Medical Center. And, with downtown San Antonio located only 18 miles away, commuting to downtown or spending the day at the Riverwalk is only a short drive away.

Adding to the appeal of this exceptional luxury neighborhood is that of the school district that serves the children of Inverness. Located within the premier North East Independent School District, children who attend public school go to the well-regarded Oak Meadow Elementary School, community oriented Jackson Middle School, and esteemed Churchill High School. Local private schools are equally top-notch, including Concordia Lutheran, TMI, Kolitz Academy, and Castle Hills First Baptist.

While still a young neighborhood, Inverness has demonstrated that luxury living is something that can easily be achieved within its gates.
