More than any other time of the year, the Texas Hill Country is at its finest in the spring. You have bluebonnets blooming and green groundcover overtaking the plains and valleys of the region, while the rugged hills and outcroppings dot the area. Warmer weather means more hiking Enchanted Rock, fishing the area’s clear rivers, or golfing one of the elite private courses. There’s plenty to do and see in Hill Country.

Not only is the terrain remarkable, but the community and economy are too. The Hill Country is where an increasing number of tourists want to visit and Texans (and non-Texans) want to live. An emerging wine region, the Hill Country is attracting visitors and future retirees who are perusing the area, which has been driving up demand for housing for a number of years. It’s a region full of beauty, exemplary schools, and a variety of outdoor activities within a short drive.

Just as homeowners are drawn to the picturesque Hill Country, real estate agents are also being drawn to the activity in the area. In the last few weeks, Portfolio Fredericksburg Real Estate opened an office with three luxury agents. LeeAnn Bailey, Krista Duderstadt, Jill Tabor, and Katy Hahn all joined the Portfolio team, to ensure clients continue to receive the upscale, personalized attention they’ve come to expect from the firm.

LeeAnn Bailey was raised in West Texas, graduated from Texas Tech, and held a number of positions that helped build her knowledge of real estate and the area. She regularly attends local government meetings and seminars on land ownership and water rights, to stay current on legislation that could impact her clients. She is a graduate of the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program and serves as past president of the Central Hill Country Board of REALTORS® for 2019.

Krista Duderstadt grew up in the Dallas area and graduated from Texas A&M. After working for several years in the insurance industry, Krista moved into the real estate industry nearly 15 years ago and has never looked back. She has served as secretary of the Gillespie County Board of REALTORS® and lives in the Hill Country with her family.

Jill Tabor moved from Austin to Fredericksburg nearly 15 years ago and specializes in the upper-tier real estate market. She is a Certified Luxury Home Specialist and is very knowledgeable in the growing bed and breakfast industry. Married to a custom homebuilder, Jill stays on top of market trends that will help her clients sell or buy their next home.

Katy Hahn was raised in nearby Llano, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2001. Prior to her extensive career in luxury real estate agent, Katy was a teacher at Faith Academy of Marble Falls and Heritage School here in town. Her third-generation roots in real estate inspired her to leave the teaching profession, and her pursuit of excellence for her clients led her to join Portfolio Real Estate.

The agents wanted to associate themselves with a strong, sophisticated brand and have the opportunity to share their experience and luxury expertise with the Hill Country market. They also wanted the strength of a group that is recognized as the local leader in the luxury market.

If you are considering a move to Hill Country, please contact our luxury experts at Portfolio Real Estate. We would welcome the opportunity to assist you.
